External ‘Walk about’ Shoot

 A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I began my photography journey in 2011, having grown up with my dad's interest in photography from the 70s. As an IT technician, transitioning to digital photography was a breeze for me. At that time, I was invited by Tempest Rose to shoot at Madam Jo Jo's, which proved to be an excellent opportunity to gain experience in shooting in low light conditions. I had a few quest shooter nights there, as well as with Cabaret Roulette, before eventually becoming a regular shooter with them for several years.

Since then, I have moved on to other venues such as Apothecary, Cabaret Nouveau, Clocktopus Cabaret, The After Dark, and Bella Whispers, among others. I enjoy doing walkabout shoots, I am also looking to expand my portfolio with more studio shoots and digital portraitures, some of which you may have seen on my website. I take pride in the overall image and effects of my work, rather than just smoothing out skin textures. As an archivist, I make sure to keep all of my work in case any shots are needed again in the future.

Pre Shoot Chat

  • For my recent photo shoots, I have been conducting video chats (via platforms such as Facebook) with clients and models as a way to introduce myself and discuss a few do's and don'ts.

  • The purpose of the pre-shoot chat is to provide you with the opportunity to bring up any shoot ideas or concerns you may have. During the chat, we will agree on the time, date, and starting location of the shoot. If applicable, we can also map out the route of the photo shoot and send it to you.

  • To ensure that we are on the same page, I may provide a mood board, which is a collection of photos that will help us align our creative vision.

  • The images will be cropped to a 4:5 ratio, which is best suited for Instagram. However, if you prefer a traditional 2:3 ratio, please let me know.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

  • Given the Covid-19 pandemic, it is imperative that we take necessary precautions during the photo shoot.

  • As a mandatory requirement, please ensure that you use hand gel and wash your hands before and after the shoot.

  • Please bring at least one mask with you, preferably two, in case the first one breaks. If you are exempt from wearing a mask, kindly let me know as soon as possible.

  • If possible, please also bring hand gel and wipes with you. Although we won't be too close to each other, we should maintain a safe distance throughout the shoot.

  • For your own convenience, please bring your own snacks and drinks as local shops may be closed, depending on the area chosen for the shoot.

  • As walkabout photo shoots seldom have electrical outlets to charge phones, kindly make sure that your devices are fully charged prior to the shoot.

  • For your own safety, please inform someone about your location for the entire duration of the shoot. I will do the same.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  • I will make every effort to arrive at the agreed-upon location on time.

  • In the event of any delay, I will notify you immediately either via Facebook Messenger or by phone.

  • Similarly, if you anticipate being delayed, kindly inform me as soon as possible so that we can reschedule or make alternative arrangements.

SHOOT TIMESCALE:

  • The walkabout shoot is expected to last approximately two hours.

  • Please keep in mind that the time will pass quickly, so it is recommended that you prepare ahead of time and bring along any outfit changes that you may require. Ideally, 2-4 outfits would be appropriate.

  • Please note that the duration of the shoot may be affected by changes in the weather. However, I typically check the BBC weather service a day or two in advance for the most accurate information.
